Lanny has become like Alice who fell down the rabbit hole. Of course I was severely mistaken. Hints of Terrible Things the author would tell us about if she could be bothered. Will they make it? I have never been more grateful for a book as now this is one of my favourite reads and looking forward to more of Alma Katsu’s novels. I’m just going to list the things I hated taier about this novel. There was only aktsu and misery, sorrow and pain. I even contemplated giving up during the first third of the book.
